VENETIAN MASK (don't look if you dont like masks!)

Firstly, I hope no one is freaked out by these images because I know some people do not like masks. However, during my recent crafty caravan break with Maureen, she brought with her two plain white masks that she had purchased in Venice and the project was to decorate them.

This is my effort. I painted the whole mask in gold and decoupaged it with roses from a napkin and, on the forehead, a little image of Venice. Then I crackle glazed it all. The metal embellishments and swirls are cut and embossed on my Big Shot from art metal and then coloured with alcohol inks.

Fantastic, I knew it would look amazing when it was finished. I keep doing a bit between samples - should finish it next week!!
